no hollywood for pinche-fjun...

...not yet anyway! ;)

needless to say, I didn't get the acting job!!! it would have been a lot of fun (and a lot of money), but I can't say that I'm in the least dissapointed. I do have an overwhelming sense of pride though...of the fact that I went through with it all and went and auditioned for the part. it might not be a big deal to some people, but to me...how can I describe it accuratly...! auditioning is almost scarrier than jumping out of a plane without a working parashute (ok, so I'm exagerating just a tad...but only a tad!!!). enough about that...I'm sure plenty more opportunities will come along shortly! :)

I've FINALLY got around to publishing some pics of the flat!!!

top to bottom...
kitchen 1: my very 70s kitchen table and chairs AND my new babushka curtains that my mum and I made today!!! my parents found the 50s kitchen scales at an auction earlier this year, and the bucket belonged to my great grandmother.
kitchen 2: my new fridge/freezer and cooker. the eclaire gave me the red wesco kettle as a leaving-london-present. people have a habit of buying me cook books, hence the small library on the art of cooking between the f/f and cooker.
living room 1: my super-cosy-mega-armchair that was a present from my aunt. my first ever cuddly toy, otto (he's the yellow/green cutie in the chair - he's been with me since I was a couple of week's old). HIF nallen also deserves a mention...he's only been with me since 2007, but is equally cute. my science mag collection in the yellow crates to the left of the chair and some of my beloved books on the right (I need a bookshelf soooo badly)!!!
living room 2: my records, my cds and my stereos!!! + my mini drum kit (I played the drums when I was younger a have wanted a drum kit for quite a while...so my sister and her boyfriend got me this little sweetie for christmas last year).
hallway: my "fry" corner. fry is the name of my mac - named after mr stephen fry and philip j. fry. also in this pic...my dream car, a miniature 55 chevrolet bel air (oh, how I wish it was the real deal)!!!

PS: the yucky yellow and terrifying terracotta is to be no more in a few week's time...I've decided to paint all the rooms in a nice "warm" white colour, then fill the walls with posters, paintings and pictures. I'm going to paint the kitchen table/chairs in a black vinyl colour too...not too keen on the brown wash (I know, it's hard to believe). more pics to come when it's all done, promise!!!!!

PS 2: just noticed there are a bunch of spelling mistakes in the above text! apologies, me very tired and very bad proof reader today!

hollywood next???

I've probably already jinxed myself by telling most of my friends in swedenland the "good news" anyway, so I may as well tell the rest of you peepsters as well!

I've got an audition in malmö for a tv commercial this thursday afternoon!!!

there you have it! I've done it now! jinxed myself to places you can only dream of! not that I believe in the jinx effect any way - me not the least superstitious!

but yea...would you believe: me - audition - tv commercial!?!?! and the funny thing is, I haven't even applied for it! I was contacted by a production company yesterday, they had seen my profile on a website for extras. they basically emailed me to see if I would be interested in auditioning for the "lead" in a tv commercial they're shooting in copenhagen at the end of the month.

I haven't had to endure an audtion since the mid-ninties, when I was doing a bit of acting in a few theatre productions (both amateur and professional). was taken aback by it at first...I HATE AUDITIONS...in fact it's one of the things that I fear the most...not the actual audition, but all the thoughts and the nervousness leading up to it. it simply brings out the worst in me. was a bit relieved when the production company wrote back to me today saying the part requires no dialogue, all you have to do is look comfortable and act naturally in front of the camera. and I guess you have to be quite photogenic too...hmmm!

I'm still a bit nervous, but have decided to be brave and go through with it anyway. WHAT'S THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEN!?!?! plus, I know I will regret it if I don't give it a go. It's just been such a loooooomg time since I did anything like this, I had almost forgotten what it feels like to be in pre-audition mode, hahaha!

keep your fingers crossed for me this thursday at 2pm sweden time / 1pm uk time!

ps: sorry about all the !!! I'm just in a very !!! sort of mood today!!!

crüe crüe crüe...

shoeses, shoeses...nothing but shoeses!

after three months in storage and a further month or so in boxes, I finally set my beloved shoeses free this evening!

all 75+ pairs live in my hallway now...no more dark-box-prison.

just wanted to share this "news" with you all. I know, I know, useless info...but hope you enjoyed it anyway!

ps: this is the first time I've managed to fit them all in one photo (and in one room too for that matter, without having to squash them into laundry bags etc)!

the return of pinche-fjun and the crüe...

I published 13 blog articles in may...so far I've published one in june (this will be my second posting). just for the record, I blame claire!!! ;)

As most (if not all?) of you know the ladyship herself came over to hbg to visit me for a week (she went back to la londres yesterday). We had an absolute brill time despite the weather being simply awful most of the time.

went to gothenburg on tuesday...for, hrm, coffee. I know, going to gothenburg simply to hang out in different cafes is a bit extravagant to say the least. I have NOTHING to say in our defence as we did almost no gbg research at all, hence very little action on the sightseeing front. we did manage to catch a photo exhibition at the hasselblad center though...in between coffee breaks!!! also managed to catch up with my friend sophie over a pizza in haga, a very pretty and picturesque part of gothenburg. it started raining on the way back to hbg...and it didn't stop until today (sat).

our wednesday copenhagen trip had been planned since the beginning of the year...as this was the
day crüe fest 2009 arrived in above mentioned city! I first got into the crüe as a young teenage
veg, so had been looking forward to this day for quite some time. this was my first crüe gig by the way...but hopefully not the last! the top pic was taken outside kb hallen before the gig. the rawk ladies in the pic are: (l-r)
camilla (my sister), camilla, carolin, claire, lina.

the crüe rules...and rocks like no-one else! they were mos def worth the wait! I know this type of music is not everyone's cup of tea...but I can honestly say that mötley crüe are known to put on one hell of a show and they didn't dissapoint, in fact they exceeded my (already high) expectations!!! ...it was a teenage dream come true!

for more crüe gig pics and crüe gig films visit my sister's blog: millan blogg

we also went to freetown christiania, which is a self-proclaimed autonomous neighbourhood in the borough of christianshavn in copenhagen. I have been to copenhagen counltess times over the years, but this was my first time at christiania. not really sure what to make of it. can't say I got any good vibes from the locals there, despite it being "advertised" (not sure advertise is the correct word to describe it, but it will have to do until I think of a better word) as a community for free spirits. got quite a few funny looks in there...and it's not just me being paranoid, claire and my sister felt it too (there is of course a slight possibility they are paranoid too, hmmm...).

this is it for now...i promise to be back again soon with more pinche-fjun news and stuff!

???

HELP...I need help...NOW!

I've been invited to a fancy dress party at the end of this month...what to wear, what to wear!?!?!?!

My sister is going as Kat Von D...great choice! But I just don't know what I want to go as...have completely run out of ideas. I'm thinking something feminine, not scary and cool...but WHAT???

SUGGESTIONS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME!!!

text me, email me or post a blog comment...anything as long as you give me suggestions!!!

I really like Alberto Vargas, but not sure I'm brave enough to go as a pin-up, hahaha! Maybe
going as some sort of comic book character would be cool...but who??? I've always wanted to go as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas...but buying a wig is just far too expensive...AND it's more halloween than summer-fancy-dress!

KEEP THE SUGGESTIONS COMING...!!!
(there may even be a little prize for the best one...)
