it's not the people on the cover that is the "problem" with this pic (some people at work thought i was poking fun at the people on the cover and/or their crazy golf hobby...i'm not...that would be bullying and i do not take part in any such activities). it's everything else! the terrible, unappealing layout. the blurry and overexposed photograph. the poorly "composed" picture. the photographer didn't even manage to get all the people in the picture smiling. i could go on...
and if you think the cover is bad...you should see the editorial pages!!! 30%+ of the pictures were blurry and looked as if they'd been snapped with a crappy mobile phone camera...i fear it doesn't just look as if they were...
whoever is the eic for this pile of crap should be ashamed of him-/herself!

ok.. i know. crazy golf magazines will probably never be big sellers. bangolf magazine will never be put next to golf punk (it was? a beautifully edited golf/fashion magazine that i audited a few years ago) at the news agents. and yes, it must be f**king soul destroying having to edit a magazine like this (that no, or very few people read), but still..

and oh...i had my first driving lesson on wednesday and it went very well indeed!!! my driving instructor said i'll have my driving licence in no time!!!!! :)

i have (possibly) managed to get myself into a bit of a pickle over calcium...as you do, hahaha! i recently found a really good vegetarian webiste with lots easily accessible nutritional information. BUT, they claim calcium is a mineral! i distinctively remember that calcium was the hot topic in the c-series (?) of qi a few years ago...and that it is in fact an alkaline earth metal, not a mineral. i - for whatever reason - decided it would be a super idea to email the veg website (how VERY uncharachteristic of  me) and i had a reply from them today...they're not backing down. they still claim calcium is a mineral. the guy that replied to me is a physicist (eek), and he was having none of it! so checked again...and calcium IS a metal according to the periodic table. calcium phosphate however, is classed as a mineral. messing with physicists is not something i do on a regular basis...it's scary stuff...and i hate being wrong. but the thing is, i don't think i am in this case! i'm currently working on a reply...my aim is not to offend or upset anyone...just want to know what is what. maybe i misunderstood something?

the driving is going great.. especially since we lowered the steering wheel (the life and times of a short-a**e).. went driving around the nw skåne countryside for nearly two hours yesterday, drove to the supermarket and then all the way home and parked the car outside my building! i have my first real lesson in two weeks time, and i'm gonna sit two mini theory tests next week (so really, what i should be doing right now is studying and NOT writing nonsense on e²).

vegetarian cheese! not easy to find (weird, considering there are somewhere between 40.000-400.000 vegetarians (400k according to veggiemind, 40k accoring to wiki...but a 0 more or less is unimportant in this case...vegetarianism is widespread - the supermarkets are ignorant) in tiny little swedenland), so i was overjoyed to find these in the supermarket yesterday.. just hope they taste nice too!)

yup, that's going pretty well...actually!

no major disasters so far...

the car is still in one piece

no dents

no cracks

no smashed headlights

speeding may be a problem...will have to work on that

as well as staying on the right hand side of the road (british brain...or maybe just practising?)

not great at reversing either (again, speed seems to be the major issue here...and a severe lack of patience, unsurprisingly)

BUT

alright at maneuvering the car as long as it's going forward

also not scared of oncoming traffic

or roundabouts

but

cyclists make me nervous

and children too

and wildlife

and old people going way, way, way below the speed limit and indicating too f**king early when they're about to make a left/right turn...then giving me evils when i cross "their" path...but how was i to know that they were gonna make a turn at the 5th road along and not the first one...stop f**king indicating, flashing your little right/left head-/rear lights if you're not about to make a turn at the next road.
