happy birthday to...ME! :)
33 years of Veg-ness have passed by...and I'm going to celebrate it in true Vegemite style by having three (3) birthday parties!!!
one on my actual birthday (26th March), one this friday (we're having a barbeque despite the temperature dropping to somthing like -10c! I know what you're thinking - crazy swedes...and you're probably right), and one this saturday which is when I've invited the Ä-holm crowd around.
by the way, I found this cake pic on the web...you know, in case you thought I had suddenly become a domestic-cake-baking-godess or something. I am having cake though...a real classic in the Paulsson household: frozen cheesecake!

new flat!!!
this is a very crude sketch of our new flat. we're moving in 1st june!!! it's a 10-15 minute walk from the "very happening" town centre of Helsingborg and a 20 minute walk from tropical beach (yes, that is what it's called...I didn't make it up).
YAY..I can't wait!!! :)

cash x 2
went into town today with my dad for a record-buying-session which yielded two johnny cash albums - one vinyl record and one cd. I have to admit that one of the reasons why I bought johnny cash sings the ballads of the true west was because of the album cover...it was love at first sight!
walked along the beach on the way back to the flat...so lovely!!! I really missed the sea when I lived in london.
not much more to say today...I've got a sore throat and a nasty cough. been ill since thursday last week...getting a bit bored of it now!
gonna have some elderflower sorbet now...ttyl dear friends!
I heart the kakapo
this blog is dedicated to one of may all-time favorite animals - the kakapo. The background is kakapo green(ish) and I've used a close up of kakapo feathers behind my title text.
please visit these links if you want to read more about the kakapo (it's a truly fascinating bird):
douglas adams and mark carwardine went to codfish island/new zealand in 1989 in search of the kakapo and you can find a recording of their adventure on the "last chance to see" website link above (under the radio tag). there are loads of other equally exciting stuff on that link as well...and I may as well recommend the book, "last chance to see" by adams and carwardine while I'm at it. stephen fry and mark carwardine are in the process of making a television series of "last chance to see"...I'll have to wait for it to be released on dvd, but you'll be able to catch it a lot sooner if you're in the UK.

1 table spoon of water
mix mix mix
spoon the mix into the cup cake cups
